Panelists
Shannon Wang Shannon graduated from MIT in 2012 with a PhD in physics, specializing in experimental atomic physics and quantum computing. Since then she's worked at Agilent Technologies as an R&D postdoc and at Intel as a process engineer. In 2016 she made a career change and joined Google as a software engineer. Currently she is working on building backend services for Nest devices.
Ivy Chen Ivy is a new Software Engineer at Google. She graduated this year from Harvey Mudd College with a physics degree and concentration in economics. In college she performed quantum optics/quantum information research and interned at Google twice over the summers. She is currently on the Shopping Ads Auctions and Threshold teams, working on conducting live traffic experiments to optimize the shopping ads system.
